What
caused the downtime?
|
|
August 2005: Major software upgrade caused a short-peroid of downtime
June 2005: Short downtime caused by a denial of service attack to our upstream network. Caused some intermittent downtimes of a few minutes (no more than 15 minutes in total).
February
2005: Short downtime during a system upgrade.
January 2005: Short downtime
during a system upgrade.
December 2004: Short downtime during a system
upgrade.
September 2004: A physical datacentre move
resulted in 5 and half hours of downtime. As this was
expected downtime, customers were give prior notice
and no data or e-mail was lost.
December 2003: System
maintenance caused two short outages that were less
than 15 minutes in duration in off-peak times.
August 2003: Back-up generator failed during
a blackout. Caused up to 105 minutes of downtime. The
back-up generator is now fixed.
May 2003: System upgrade caused up to 15 minutes
of downtime. |
| Zanyspace
aims to be downtime free but at times necessary system
upgrades, security attacks or acts outside our control
can affect the Zanyspace service. Usually any such outages
will last no more than 30 minutes and we will attempt
to notify users if possible in advance of any downtime.
If
in the unlikely event that downtime becomes prolonged
Zanyspace will credit user’s accounts an appropriate
amount of compensation for the lost service. However,
we are not in a position to reimburse users for business
losses or other expenses.
